Creative Research Practice 

Over the past decade the music industry has seen a major shift to what is known as the "silent stage". This describes the removal of Guitar/Bass amps in favour of silent options (modelling) and on occasion the addition of drum perspex screens. the intent being that the greatly reduces the ambient noise or bleed on stage and achieves a cleaner signal gain to front of house (Live) or the control room (Studio Recording). I will be exploring what impact this shift has on my creativity when interacting with an ensemble as well as the embodiment of  the performance.
